Raging Hormones
The Coalition for Emotional Literacy (the CEL) in 1995 sponsored a survey amongst a diverse group of educators, business people, prisoners, students, and parents. One of the questions asked was, "What's the big difference between fourth and fiifth graders and middle school students?" Everyone answered,
1. "Raging Hormones"
2. The quest to know: "Who Am I?"
3. Peer Pressure
The CEL's wellness education teaches youth how to:

1. Harmonize their hormones
2. Promote healthy heterosexual peer relationships
3. Develop mindful awareness and insights into "beingness"
As a result of the CEL's Program, critical and reliable intelligence develops maturing the pubescent youth to know that he or she is capable, noble, and sexually awake which is different than sexually driven.
A goal of mine is to teach appropriate Advanced OceanaBodywork meditations to parents and their children (10 years up) together or to groups of families. It's different! It is a personal, quiet, and relationship building time whereby participates develop greater self knowledge, outward intelligence, and spiritual awareness and connections as a family.
